Excerpt

The article delves into the latest advancements in Isogeometric Analysis (IGA), a computational technology that seamlessly integrates Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE). Highlighting key topics from the 10th International Conference on Isogeometric Analysis, the paper discusses innovative methodologies for solid and structure analysis, fluid and fluid-structure interaction, immersed IGA analysis, and boundary element methods. Notably, it introduces an adaptive meshing workflow for thin-walled structures using Truncated Hierarchical B-splines (THB-splines) and explores the effectiveness of IGA in brittle fracture analysis. Additionally, the article presents a design-through-analysis framework for transcatheter valves and proposes cost-effective stabilized isogeometric collocation methods for hyperbolic conservation laws. The paper also addresses the challenge of interior parametrization in CAD models through immersed IGA methods and introduces a specialized boundary element method for acoustic scattering problems. Furthermore, it demonstrates the potential of IGA in design space exploration and optimization, including automated shape and thickness optimization of aircraft wings and model reduction frameworks for real-time analysis. Lastly, the article introduces THB-DIFF, a differentiable programming framework for THB-splines, showcasing its applications in geometric modeling and integration with deep learning frameworks. This comprehensive overview of recent developments in IGA offers valuable insights for professionals seeking to leverage this technology in their work.
