Abstract

The study investigates the impact of casting roll roughness on the naturally deposited film and heat transfer during the strip casting of hot-stamping steel. It highlights the significant influence of roughness on interfacial wettability and heat transfer behavior, showing that lower roughness leads to better wettability and higher heat flux. The research provides valuable insights into optimizing the production process of hot-stamping steel, crucial for the automotive industry seeking to enhance body strength and crash safety while reducing energy consumption.
