Abstract

The study focuses on the impact of Gadolinium on inclusions in high-sulfur free-cutting steel, a material widely used for its efficiency and precision in cutting applications. It delves into the significance of sulfide morphology and distribution in steel ingots, highlighting previous research that shows the influence of MnS inclusions on mechanical properties. The article presents a novel method to convert two-dimensional inclusion morphology to three-dimensional using Matlab programming, offering a cutting-edge approach to enhancing steel performance and cutting quality.
