Abstract

The article delves into the intricate dynamics of natural convection and entropy generation within a square cavity containing a heated wavy cylinder, subjected to an inclined magnetic field. It focuses on non-Newtonian ferrofluids, which are nanofluids containing magnetic particles. The study investigates the impact of various parameters such as power-law index, Hartmann number, Rayleigh number, and volume fraction on heat transfer and flow fields. The authors use numerical simulations to analyze the behavior of these fluids under different conditions, providing valuable insights into the thermophysical properties and performance of ferrofluids. The research highlights the significant role of magnetic fields in controlling the flow and heat transfer characteristics of ferrofluids, offering practical implications for various engineering applications.
