Abstract

The article investigates the impact of pore size on the precipitation of iron-rich phases and the enhancement of impact toughness in copper-infiltrated steel. Through powder metallurgy technology, the researchers created single-channel structures to analyze copper infiltration behavior and the resulting precipitation of iron-rich phases. The study reveals that larger pore sizes lead to more significant iron-rich phase precipitation, which in turn improves impact toughness. The findings offer valuable insights into optimizing the properties of sintered steel components through controlled pore size and copper infiltration processes.
