Abstract

The study examines the impact of chemical and structural characteristics of Eucalyptus and Pinus pulps on the production of cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) through a mechanical-enzymatic process. It delves into the differences in CNF properties, such as rheological and morphological characteristics, and evaluates the response of pulps to enzymatic pretreatments. The research highlights the significance of hemicellulose content and its role in facilitating nanofibrillation. By comparing the chemical compositions and morphological features of the pulps, the article offers valuable insights into optimizing CNF production processes.
