Abstract

The article delves into the efficiency of intelligent control designs for dual-stator machines in electric vehicle traction systems. It begins by discussing the developments in electrical actuators, control processes, and power electronic systems, highlighting the benefits of electric vehicles, such as simplicity, efficiency, and environmental friendliness. The study focuses on the dual-stator single-rotor (DSSR) machine, which offers high torque and can be used for both traction and auxiliary power functions. The article compares different control strategies, including PI controllers, fuzzy logic controllers, and neural network controllers, to improve vehicle autonomy and performance. The results show that neural network control outperforms other methods in terms of speed regulation, current stability, and overall system efficiency. The paper concludes by emphasizing the effectiveness of the neural network control strategy for the DSSR motor, highlighting its potential to enhance the stability and robustness of electric vehicle systems.
