Abstract

This chapter explores the application of the EfficientNet architecture for the enhanced detection of medicinal plants using deep learning. It delves into the challenges of traditional plant identification methods and highlights the advantages of using advanced computer vision techniques. The study presents a detailed comparison of EfficientNet with other baseline models like VGG19, AlexNet, ResNet50, and VGG16, demonstrating its superior performance in accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The research also discusses the implementation of Progressive Image Resizing (PIR) to improve the model's adaptability across different resolutions. Real-world testing of the optimized EfficientNet model underscores its practical applicability in diverse environmental conditions.
