Ein Vergleich der Kundenwahrnehmung neuer Fahrzeugantriebe mit Fokus auf Risikoprofile, Vertrauen und Nutzungsbereitschaft

Zusammenfassung

Bei der Dekarbonisierung des Verkehrssektors kommt alternativen Fahrzeugantrieben, allen voran Elektrofahrzeugen, eine Schlüsselrolle zu. Während Politik und Automobilindustrie stark in die Verbreitung von batterieelektrischen Fahrzeugen (BEVs) investieren, geraten Brennstoffzellen-Elektrofahrzeugen (FCEVs) aktuell ins Hintertreffen. In diesem Zusammenhang adressiert diese Studie die Frage, inwiefern individuelle Wahrnehmungen potenzieller Nutzer von Fahrzeugen mit E-Antrieben sich zwischen BEVs und FCEVs unterscheiden und fokussiert dabei psychologische Faktoren, wie Vertrauen und wahrgenommene Risikoprofile. Hierfür wurden Daten mittels eines Szenario-basierten Online-Fragebogens mit 401 Teilnehmenden erhoben und mithilfe von Welch t-Tests ausgewertet. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigen, dass das Vertrauen in die Technologie sowie die Nutzungsintention bei BEVs stärker ausgeprägt sind als bei FCEVs. Hinsichtlich der Risikoprofile aus Kundensicht zeigt sich, dass physische Risiken bei FCEVs stark vertreten sind, während sich bei funktionalen Risiken kein signifikanter Unterschied zeigt, dies aber tendenziell eine Schwachstelle in der Wahrnehmung von BEVs sein könnte. Diese Erkenntnisse erweitern den meist stark technischen und Energieeffizienz-orientierten Vergleich von BEVs und FCEVs um Facetten der individuellen Wahrnehmung aus der Sicht potenzieller Kunden. Dabei erweitert diese Studie die spärliche Literatur zum Vergleich von FCEVs und BEVs und integriert die Wahrnehmung von Vertrauen und Risiko als multidimensionale Konzepte in den Forschungsstrom. Zuletzt werden praktische Implikationen für Hersteller und Politik abgeleitet, wie Unsicherheiten bezüglich neuer Antriebsarten verringert und Kundenpräferenzen adressiert werden können.
