Einleitung

Regionen und Regionalismus in den Internationalen Beziehungen

Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag führt in die Thematik des Bandes ein und widmet sich dabei zwei grundlegenden Fragen: was wird unter Regionalismus in den Internationalen Beziehungen (IB) verstanden und wie lässt sich dieses Phänomen erklären? Im ersten Teil wird der Regionen- beziehungsweise Regionalismusbegriff definiert und konzeptionelle Komponenten zu dessen Verständnis vorgeschlagen. Im zweiten Teil werden dann theoretische Zugänge aus den Internationalen Beziehungen vorgestellt, die unterschiedliche Erklärungsansätze für das Phänomen Regionalismus beinhalten. Dabei wird zwischen systemischen und subsystemischen Theorieansätzen unterschieden. Abschließend wird das didaktische Konzept des Lehrbuchs vorgestellt und der strukturelle Aufbau des Bandes erläutert.
