Abstract

This article investigates the complex stress-strain state of non-planar strips subjected to elastic tension, with a particular focus on the biquadratic law of stress distribution over the width. It examines how tensile stresses are unevenly distributed across the width of rolled products, affecting the parameters of out-of-flatness. The study provides detailed equations for calculating the maximum tensile stresses and out-of-flatness parameters, specifically for strips with asymmetric corrugation and buckling. The research highlights the significant impact of the nonuniformity of stresses and the asymmetry of defects on the stress-strain state and maximum tensile stresses. Figures illustrating the distribution of tensile stresses over the width under elastic tension for both corrugated and buckled strips are included, offering valuable insights into the practical applications of the derived equations.
