Diesel engines will meet future emissions regulations with a combination of high-performance electric exhaust gas heaters, an efficient SCR system with twin dosing, and advanced coating and substrate technology. To this end, pollutant emissions must be almost completely eliminated under all operating conditions, including immediately after a cold start. For this purpose, HJS has developed a powerful electric heater for the 48-V on-board network with up to 15 kW heating power. …
