Scandlines operates two short-distance ferry routes between Germany and Denmark with high frequency and large capacity. In 2013, Scandlines introduced the groundbreaking hybrid system on M/V Prinsesse Benedikte, a diesel-electric ferry, operating the Puttgarden-Rødby route.
