Abstract

Die direkte Speicherung elektrischer Energie über Kondensatoren und Spulen ist einerseits höchst effizient, aber andererseits in punkto Speicherkapazitäten sehr begrenzt und mit hohen Kosten verbunden. Diese Nachteile werden durch die elektrochemische Energiespeicherung überwunden, allerdings auf Kosten des Wirkungsgrades der rein elektrischen Energiespeicherung, die die effizienteste Art und Weise der Stromspeicherung ist.
