Abstract

The chapter delves into the empirical evidence on factors influencing Italian consumers' intention to purchase electric vehicles (EVs). It identifies key drivers such as economic and technological attributes, psychological factors, and environmental concerns. The study also segments potential EV buyers into 'conservative,' 'indifferent,' and 'enthusiastic' groups based on their attitudes and knowledge about EVs. Additionally, it examines the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies in promoting EV adoption. The research methodology involved an online survey conducted among 153 respondents, providing valuable insights into the current state of EV adoption in Italy.
