Abstract

The catastrophic global energy crisis, which is gripping the world’s progress voraciously, requires stringent and long-term solutions. Sooner or later, there will be a complete shift from IC engine based heavy-duty vehicles to electric powered ones. These vehicles will draw a high magnitude of current from the charging stations. This paper presents EMT analysis for heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. A constant current EV charging system has been designed. Simulation is performed for the 24-s duration, considering the various charging scenarios (CS).
