Abstract

The article discusses the significant technological advancements in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), highlighting their applications in environmental monitoring, health care, and smart cities. The primary challenge in WSNs is the limited energy of sensor nodes, which are typically equipped with non-rechargeable batteries. The study introduces an improved Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm, enhanced with Q-learning, to optimize cluster head selection and routing paths in WSNs. This approach aims to save energy and improve data security by selecting the best energy-efficient routes and integrating a trust model for secure data transmission. The proposed IQ-ABC algorithm is compared with other routing protocols, demonstrating superior performance in energy efficiency, network lifetime, and data transmission. The study also includes a comprehensive review of existing methodologies and their limitations, providing a clear path for future research in the field of WSN optimization.
