Abstract

The article delves into the development of a new shear thickening gel (n-STG) reinforced with Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA). It highlights the synthesis process, rheological performance, and self-healing properties of the gel. The study demonstrates that n-STG exhibits superior energy dissipation and mechanical properties, making it a promising material for various engineering applications. The research also explores the molecular mechanisms behind the shear thickening effect and the role of dynamic B-O bonds in self-healing. The findings suggest that n-STG has the potential to revolutionize the field of impact-resistant materials.
