Abstract

This article presents a groundbreaking approach to enhancing the properties of polyacrylamide/sodium alginate hydrogels through the incorporation of imidazolyl ionic liquid and carbon-based nanomaterials. The study focuses on the development of hydrogels with superior mechanical strength, electrical conductivity, and flexibility, making them ideal for applications in flexible sensors. The integration of vinyl imidazolium-based brominated ionic liquid into the hydrogel matrix significantly improves the spatial distribution of carbon fillers, resulting in a robust and conductive cross-linked network. This advancement enables the creation of high-performance flexible sensors capable of monitoring human motion with high sensitivity and stable response. The article delves into the synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation of these hydrogels, highlighting their potential for next-generation smart sensors and electronic skins. The research provides a detailed analysis of the mechanical properties, electrical conductivity, and self-healing capabilities of the hydrogels, offering insights into their potential applications in various fields. The study also explores the temperature-responsive conductivity of the hydrogels, further enhancing their versatility and applicability in advanced sensor technologies.
