Abstract

The article delves into the optimization of critical current density in ex situ MgB2 superconductors. It compares the in situ and ex situ methods of MgB2 preparation, highlighting the potential of ex situ samples to outperform in situ ones with improved grain coupling. The study systematically varies heat treatment conditions and Mg addition to enhance grain connectivity and flux pinning, aiming to make MgB2 more suitable for high-performance industrial applications.
