Abstract

In an era where cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, traditional security measures often fall short. This chapter investigates the synergistic potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology to enhance cybersecurity frameworks. By leveraging the Cybersecurity Threat Analysis dataset, the study demonstrates how AI can be utilized to detect and predict cyber threats with remarkable accuracy. Machine learning models such as Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, and XGBoost are employed to analyze vast amounts of data, identifying patterns and anomalies that indicate potential security breaches. The integration of blockchain technology adds an additional layer of security, ensuring the integrity and transparency of data transactions. The immutable ledger of blockchain records every transaction transparently, making it difficult for malicious actors to alter data without detection. Smart contracts automate threat response mechanisms, triggering predefined security measures when anomalies are detected. The chapter also addresses the challenges and limitations of this integrated approach, including high computational costs and scalability issues, and suggests avenues for future research and practical implementation. Through a detailed analysis and case studies, this chapter provides a compelling argument for the adoption of AI and blockchain in cybersecurity, paving the way for a more resilient and proactive defense against evolving cyber threats.
