Abstract

The article delves into the optimization of distributed generators (DGs) using the fuzzified firefly algorithm (FFA) to enhance grid resilience and efficiency. It discusses the challenges and gaps in existing DG placement methods and introduces the FFA as a hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm that combines fuzzy logic with the firefly optimization technique. The study evaluates the performance of different DG integration types in the IEEE-33 bus test system, showcasing significant reductions in real and reactive power losses. Additionally, it highlights the advantages of FFA over other optimization algorithms, including better convergence and adaptability to dynamic grid scenarios. The research provides practical insights into the long-term planning and management of DGs, emphasizing the importance of optimized integration for sustainable energy practices and grid stability.
