Abstract

The article delves into the challenge of poor heat resistance in epoxy resins, crucial for high-speed aircraft and other applications requiring high temperature endurance. Traditional methods to enhance heat resistance are discussed, but the focus is on a novel approach using imide-based chain extenders to improve both heat resistance and conductivity. The study involves synthesizing imide curing agents and testing their effects on epoxy composites, including thermal properties, electrical conductivity, and mechanical performance. The results show significant improvements in heat resistance and conductivity, making the developed materials promising for advanced applications in industries requiring high-performance materials.
