Abstract

The article delves into the advancements in Modern Utility Hybrid Renewable Energy Vehicles (MUHREVs), highlighting the challenges and limitations of current hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). It introduces an innovative inverted decoupler control strategy designed to enhance the speed-torque response and efficiency of MUHREVs. Through extensive simulation studies and hardware experimentation, the research demonstrates significant improvements in torque ripple reduction, dynamic response, and voltage requirements compared to conventional Direct Torque Control (DTC) methods. The paper also discusses the modeling and implementation of multiport converters and voltage source inverters (VSIs) in MUHREVs, emphasizing the advantages of this control strategy in achieving better performance and sustainability in transportation solutions.
