Abstract

The article investigates the enhancement of thermoelectric power factor in PEDOT:PSS/SnSe2 nanocomposite sheets using rapid thermal annealing. It discusses the significance of organic thermoelectric materials, particularly PEDOT:PSS, for their low cost, non-toxicity, and flexibility. The study focuses on the optimization of the dimensionless figure-of-merit (ZT) through the manipulation of Seebeck coefficient and electrical resistivity. The incorporation of SnSe2, a semiconductor with promising optoelectronic properties, is explored to enhance the thermoelectric performance of PEDOT:PSS. The microstructure, morphology, composition, and thermoelectric properties of the composite sheets are thoroughly examined, offering valuable insights into the potential of these materials for practical applications in various fields.
