Abstract

The chapter delves into the automation of deburring processes in cast z-rod parts, addressing the challenges of burr removal and the variability in manual cleaning. It introduces a robust system that employs robot technology, pneumatic cylinders, and load cells to control the deburring force precisely. The mechanical design ensures alignment and compatibility with the parts, while the algorithm manages the cleaning process and burr classification using deep learning. The YOLO-v7 algorithm is employed for burr detection, offering high accuracy and speed. The study concludes with a significant improvement in production efficiency and stability, highlighting the advantages of automation over manual methods.
