Abstract

The article delves into the significance of constacyclic codes in coding theory due to their efficient encoding and decoding algorithms. It discusses the equivalence of constacyclic codes with different shift constants, introducing new criteria for their monomial equivalence. These criteria generalize existing results and are applied to classify equivalent codes over small finite fields. The article also demonstrates how these results can be used to systematically search for new linear codes with improved parameters, including several record-breaking codes. The findings highlight the practical applications of these new criteria and the potential for further advancements in coding theory.
