Abstract

The article explores the intricate relationships between temperature, hydraulic, and mechanical fields in heavy oil production, highlighting the need for a T-H-M coupling model. It delves into the existing coupling models, their limitations, and the innovative approach presented in this study. The model considers the effects of temperature on the mechanical properties of cement and the influence of injected fluids on the well assembly. The application of this model is demonstrated through a case study of a thermal recovery well, showcasing its ability to predict failure modes and provide practical solutions for safe and efficient oil production.
