Abstract

The article explores the use of Support Vector Regression (SVR) and Genetic Algorithm-Multilayer Perceptron (GA-MLP) systems to predict the wear rate of diamond cutting wire beads in building stone cutting. It discusses the methodology behind these models, including the Savitzky-Golay filter for noise reduction, and validates their performance using statistical measures such as R², MSE, RMSE, MAE, MAPE, and VAF. The study highlights the effectiveness of the SVR+Filter (Random) Polynomial model in predicting wear rates, demonstrating its potential for high-accuracy predictions in the mining industry. The article also suggests future research directions to improve the accuracy and applicability of these models.
