Abstract

This chapter delves into the impact of natural sound and color combinations on cognitive performance within Virtual Reality (VR) environments. Through three experiments, it explores how these sensory elements influence task efficiency and concentration. The study identifies specific associations between natural sounds and colors, and investigates how these associations affect arithmetic task performance. Notably, it finds that certain sound-color combinations, particularly those involving blue and green, significantly improve task efficiency and concentration compared to red. This research offers valuable insights into optimizing VR applications for enhanced user experience and performance, particularly in educational and workplace settings.
