The chapter discusses the importance of intuitive interfaces for explosives deactivation robots, highlighting the challenges faced by TEDAX agents in manipulating traditional control interfaces. It introduces the Leap Motion sensor as a potential NUI for robotic arms and evaluates its feasibility through a study involving UDEX-AQP agents. The study compares the NUI, called DL01, with the MK-2 robot's keyboard interface using the NASA-TLX method, revealing that the NUI offers significant improvements in total workload and temporal demands.
