Abstract

The article delves into the evaluation of the hot hardening resource of die steel with controlled austenitic transformation during exploitation. It explores the unique properties of these steels, which retain and improve high-temperature strengthening up to 750°C, unlike traditional alloy steels that weaken at high temperatures. The study involves detailed deformation-heat treatment processes, microstructural analysis, and mechanical property evaluations. The results highlight the high stability and reliability of the strengthened condition in these steels, making them suitable for prolonged and multistage deformation at high temperatures. Comparisons with traditional thermally stable steels demonstrate the superior performance of die steels with controlled austenitic transformation, offering promising solutions for tool manufacturing under extreme conditions.
