Abstract

The article evaluates mass spectrometric methods for screening polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in wildfire smoke particulate matter, focusing on the health risks posed by these toxicants. It compares the traditional GC-MS method with the newer DART-MS technique, highlighting the advantages of DART-MS in terms of speed and efficiency. The study also includes field experiments and real-world applications, making it a comprehensive resource for professionals interested in environmental monitoring and fire safety.
