Abstract

The study evaluates the radiation shielding parameters of six metallic glass compositions using advanced simulation tools. Key parameters such as mass attenuation coefficient, effective atomic number, and half-value layer are analyzed for gamma, beta, alpha, proton, and neutron radiation. The results demonstrate the superior shielding capabilities of these materials, particularly BTC1, which exhibits high density and excellent attenuation properties. The article also explores the interaction processes between photons and matter, and the absorption edges of elements, providing a detailed understanding of the shielding performance of these materials.
