Abstract

A procedure based on using fractional rational functions is developed for approximation of the concentration dependence of activity coefficients for systems with strong reaction of components in a melt. The most probable values of reaction parameters are found for the first and second order (with a condition of an approximation of concentration dependence of activity coefficients for a fractional rational function) for deoxidizing molten iron with calcium, magnesium and aluminum, and desulfurizing with magnesium. Equations of curves are obtained for deoxidizing molten iron with calcium, magnesium and aluminum. It is shown that the calculated curves for deoxidizing molten iron with alkaline earth elements and aluminum agree satisfactorily with experimental data.
