Abstract

The article delves into the sustainable extraction of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) from Millettia pinnata leaves, a plant native to Asia. The study utilizes chemical treatments to isolate MCC, which is then characterized for its morphology, elemental composition, crystallinity, thermal stability, and surface roughness. The resulting MCC exhibits high purity, crystallinity, and thermal stability, making it a promising biofiller for composite materials. The research also highlights the environmental benefits of using plant waste for MCC production, contributing to sustainable practices in the materials industry.
