The article delves into the existence and uniqueness of minimizers for a nonlinear Budiansky-Sanders shell model, building upon previous work by Destuynder. It extends the existing results to include a broader class of applied forces and general shell shapes, demonstrating the existence of at least one minimizer under these conditions. Furthermore, the uniqueness of the minimizer is established for small applied forces.
