Abstract

The chapter delves into the experimental and numerical investigation of soil reinforcement using jute geotextiles, a sustainable material. It begins by discussing the challenges of constructing on poor or soft soil and the necessity of ground stabilization. The study focuses on the utilization of jute geotextiles as a reinforcing material, emphasizing their environmental benefits and ease of application. The authors present results from various tests, including triaxial compression tests and numerical analyses using finite element software PLAXIS 2D.
