Abstract

The article delves into the experimental demonstration of the dynamics of quantum coherence evolving under a PT-symmetric Hamiltonian on an NMR quantum processor. It introduces the concept of PT-symmetric Hamiltonians, their exceptional points, and the measures of quantum coherence such as total, global, and local coherence. The study focuses on the evolution of these coherences in maximally entangled bipartite and tripartite states under different phases of PT-symmetry. Theoretical results show distinct patterns of coherence dynamics in unbroken and broken phases, with experimental validation using NMR. The findings highlight the creation and stabilization of local coherence and the different behaviors of global coherence in bipartite and tripartite states, offering new insights into quantum coherence dynamics under non-hermitian Hamiltonians.
