Abstract

The study investigates the use of yttria ceramic particles to improve the thermal, corrosion, and electrical properties of AA7075/graphene nanocomposites. The research highlights the benefits of incorporating yttria particles into the aluminum alloy matrix, demonstrating enhanced thermal stability and corrosion resistance. The article also provides detailed experimental methods, including ball milling, cold compaction, and sintering, to fabricate the composites. The results show that the addition of yttria particles significantly reduces material degradation and improves corrosion resistance, making the composites suitable for high-temperature structural applications. Additionally, the study includes microstructural analysis and electrical conductivity measurements, offering a comprehensive understanding of the composite's properties. The unique combination of yttria and graphene particles in the aluminum matrix sets this research apart, providing a novel approach to enhancing the performance of metal matrix composites.
