Abstract

The article presents an experimental investigation into the comprehensive performance of radio frequency (RF) heating technology for heavy oil recovery. With the increasing demand for heavy oil, the study focuses on the advantages of RF heating over traditional steam-based methods, such as reduced environmental impact and improved energy efficiency. The experimental system, designed to simulate real-world conditions, evaluates key performance indicators including temperature distribution, recovery ratio, and energy to oil ratio. The research highlights the potential of RF heating as a promising alternative technology for heavy oil recovery, offering insights into optimizing heating power and time to achieve the best energy efficiency.
