Abstract

The article presents an experimental study on the use of PVC pipes for slope protection against rainwater erosion and infiltration. The research focuses on the effectiveness of different PVC pipe diameters in reducing soil erosion and water content. The study involves indoor simulated rainfall scouring tests and outdoor experiments, providing valuable data on the performance of PVC pipes in controlling erosion and water infiltration. The results show that PVC pipes can significantly reduce soil erosion and water content, with smaller diameter pipes being more effective. The study also highlights the potential of combining PVC pipes with vegetation for enhanced slope protection. The findings contribute to the development of eco-protection techniques for slope stability and highlight the need for further research into the durability and long-term performance of PVC pipes in slope protection applications.
