Der vorliegende Artikel beruht auf der sich zunehmend verbreitenden Lehrmeinung, dass je nach spezifischen Konflikt und Kontext ein geeigneter Mediationsstil anzuwenden ist. Als Orientierungshilfe wird zunächst das breite Spektrum der Mediationsstile herausgearbeitet, aus denen Mediatoren auswählen können. In Abgrenzung zu den anderen Stilen erfolgt dann die ausführliche Darstellung des facilitativen Stils, der in Deutschland als Standardmodell am weitesten verbreitet ist. Empfehlungen für dessen erfolgreiche Anwendung in der Praxis runden den Artikel ab.
