Zusammenfassung

Mit dem Konzept werden die Weichen für die spätere Detailkonstruktion gestellt. Es geht um die grobe Anordnung der größten und schwersten Teile und um die grundlegende Charakteristik des Wagens. Die Konzeptarbeit darf nicht unterschätzt werden. Fehlentscheidungen am Anfang eines Projekts sind später oft nur schwer wieder zu korrigieren. Der Teufel, sagt man, steckt im Detail und meint damit etwa das Konzept sei nicht so entscheidend. Dem muss hinzugefügt werden, dass die Vorfahren des Teufels bereits im Konzept steckten.
