Abstract

In an era where reliability and safety are paramount, the early diagnosis of potential faults in dynamic systems is crucial. This article delves into the intricacies of fault reconstruction, particularly focusing on multiplicative faults, which are notoriously challenging to detect. It introduces a novel adaptive observer technique that can simultaneously reconstruct system states, additive faults, and multiplicative faults, ensuring robust performance even in the presence of unknown uncertainties. The article presents a detailed methodology for both linear and Lipschitz nonlinear systems, supported by rigorous mathematical proofs and practical simulation studies. By addressing the limitations of existing fault reconstruction methods, this work offers a significant advancement in the field, providing engineers and researchers with powerful tools for real-time monitoring, diagnosis, and control.
