Abstract

This chapter explores the dynamic interplay between soil and the working bodies of earthmoving machines, particularly those equipped with elastically deformed elements. It addresses the gaps in current literature by investigating how dynamic working resistances affect machine stability and performance across various soil conditions. The research reveals that soil resistance to cutting varies significantly with changes in cutting depth, tip width, and console thickness, providing a detailed analysis of these relationships. The study also highlights the importance of understanding the coefficient of reduction in soil resistance, which varies parabolically with different soil categories. Furthermore, the chapter presents innovative recommendations for designing more efficient and durable working bodies, emphasizing the optimal geometric parameters for tips equipped with elastically deformed elements. The findings offer valuable insights into improving the long-term durability and effectiveness of earthmoving machines, making it a crucial read for those interested in advancing the field of construction and transportation engineering.
