Abstract

The study focuses on the extraction and characterization of Typha domingensis fibers for the development of bio-composites, aiming to minimize plastic usage in agriculture. The authors explore mechanical extraction methods and analyze the physical and chemical properties of the fibers. They also develop bio-composite sheets using these fibers and test their mechanical, absorbency, and biodegradability properties. The research highlights the potential of Typha domingensis fibers in creating sustainable agro-textile products, contributing to both environmental conservation and agricultural efficiency.
