Abstract

This chapter explores a cutting-edge approach to securing Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals using a Fibonacci-based security algorithm. The text delves into the importance of ECG signals in cardiology and the need for robust encryption methods to protect patient data during transmission and storage. The proposed method involves embedding watermarks in the frequency domain of ECG signals at specific Fibonacci indices, ensuring minimal impact on signal quality. The chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the Fibonacci series and its applications in cryptography, as well as a detailed explanation of the proposed algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method, with high Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) values indicating minimal distortion. Comparisons with existing methods highlight the advantages of the Fibonacci-based approach, making it a promising solution for secure medical data transmission and storage.
