Abstract

Seit erst fünfzehn Jahren und damit seit noch kürzerer Zeit als im Fall der ‚neuen‘ Wirtschaftssoziologie zeichnet sich ein Programm zur Untersuchung der modernen Finanzmärkte ab, das als ‚neue‘ Finanzsoziologie bezeichnet wird. Man kann darüber streiten, in welcher Weise das Prädikat ‚neu‘ hier angebracht ist, weil z.B. in Deutschland vor den 1990er Jahren gar keine nennenswerte Finanzsoziologie betrieben worden ist und insofern keine ‚alte‘ Finanzsoziologie existiert. Institutionell ist die Finanzsoziologie in Deutschland ein Teil der Wirtschaftssoziologie – es gibt keine eigenständige Sektion innerhalb der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie.
