Abstract

The article delves into the finite element modeling of two-directional FGM beams subjected to hygrothermal effects, focusing on the impact of moisture and temperature variations on their mechanical properties. It explores the convergence and validation of the model using COMSOL software, demonstrating the effects of moisture content rise and temperature rise on natural frequencies under different boundary conditions. The study also investigates the influence of material gradient parameters and aspect ratio on the vibrational characteristics of the beams, providing detailed mode shapes and concluding with the unique findings of the research.
